Have you got access to a device to read the fault codes from the diagnostic port?

Unfortunately I am a little far away in Brisbane but there may be someone in Townsville who can read them (and possibly clear them) for you.

If your haven't disabled your EGR is it chugging when you turn off the motor?

Hey Mick, oils and coolant are good. But I would've though any issues with those would be noticed through the temperature sensor and low oil warning.

G'Day Richard,

No such luck unfortunately. I should really update my personal details on this forum as I haven't lived in Townsville for nearly a year. I've now moved to Sydney and am on secondment to a work project in Melbourne until December, which is why I'm a little concerned about my daily driver.

No doubt there's someone in Melbourne with a Nanocom etc, but I've booked it into a LR specialist in Geelong next week. Obviously, if anyone is offering I'd be very appreciative!

EGR has not been disabled, but no noticable difference in engine performance during driving (including highway speeds). Could you elaborate on the 'chugging' sensation?

When you turn off the motor it there is a chugging sound which is the EGR cleaning itself, before mine was disabled the noise stopped and the light came on. Reading the codes will tell you.

If you do a search I think you will find some better information about it.

I found when the EGR wasn't working I did really notice anything driving but the fuel consumption got a little worse.
