Hi All,
Someone has suggested that the Defender 2.2 Tdci engine has a port, or at least a boss, suitable for installing an EGT probe? Can anyone confirm this? And, if so, perhaps post a photo? If it's a threaded port, can you tell me the thread type & size please?
Many thanks,

Sorry no - and that Cat has been disposed of..
Any Defender 2.2 Tdci owners have time to pull this plug and check the thread, please?

I took the blank plug out and went to visit my local bolt/bearing supplier.
They had a allen drive blanking plug that I drilled out and tapped for the exhaust probe.
I had to use vice grips to fit the plug as it has no flat edges for spanners.
I've buried the old bolt in the on-board tool kit as a "just in case" item.
I also fitted a copper washer to help seal it.
I don't have the ability to measure the thread pitch so I don't want to give you the wrong size.
I'd suggest loosen it when cold and head for a bolt place to get it right the first time.
If your not near the vehicle I'd have to hunt down the bolt and take it to my bolt man to get the size.
