As my Defender doesn't have aircon at all and it's something I've asked about before, I've got pullsey's posts on-the-brain (so to speak) as it looked like a novel approach to getting aircon into the beast :-)

Yep, its getting warm in Townsville now and the aircon is more and more appreciated everyday. $1500 for the set up installed using my compressor and underbonnet stuff. Yeah its good to have heaps of off road mods but for the everyday day in day out mods this is by far the best money I ever spent on the car.
