    LS-1/Gen III in Rangie

Ok, I have a complete (with computer etc) LS-1 from a VY commodore.. and I have a 1990 3.9 Vogue which has just dropped a valve (and either split the bore or moved a liner as water in the cylinder when plug removed..)
Just had mail back from Mark's 4WD that their SBC adaptor does NOT work with the LS-1 block...
    Anyone got any ideas?

This a little off the topic, but I stayed at Castlemain two weeks ago while we went to Bendigo Swap meet and they have the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever been to.

They also have the second best pizza - best being at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

The point of my stort is that if you go to Castlemain make sure you try the Chinese and Pizza!

    Trust Me

    Hey ChamonixVogue90

Ive researched the LS1 conversion for ages and can't think of a better motor to fit into the Rangy. Ive got a 1990 aswell and keen as to fit the LS1 aswell. Have talked to many engineers around the Gold Coast area and most will just make an adapter to suit anyways for about the same cost as from Marks adapters. I found the T700 as best option and easiest.

Let me know how you go. Ive got a new SS with the LS1 and dream of having the same motor in the rangy.. the torque range would be perfect

    Hey Camo,
Yep agree- which is why I bought the motor & ECU etc complete. I'm waiting to hear back from dellow- I want to keep the ZF 4speed rather than T700 as I dont want to pfaff about changing the position of the gearbox/Transfer and then get new driveshafts made up as well..
