    Fuel additives

I am about to put a 1994 Disco TDI 300 Back on the road with a completely rebuilt engine the vehicle has been sitting for about 12 months plus with about half a tank of fuel, which I was going to drain before starting. Several people recon that I should dose the tank with Fuel Doctor fuel treatment and fill the tank before starting, then dose the next few tanks with fuel doctor for about 5000ks. Has any one on the forum used this product

I would use something just because the fuel has been sitting around for a while. You will get crud growing in fuel which is hard to get rid of. I would drain the tank then half fill again and add some additive at the higher dosage. Go for a drive slosh around a bit for quarter a tank then change out fuel filters fill up fuel and dose again.
