Remember there's 2 low pressure fuel pumps in them. There's the one under the car on the paasanger side, and the in tank pump. Did it stop while you were driving or refuse to start after you had stopped?

If it was the latter, I would guess at the in tank pump if your fuel gauge was under 1/4. The tank has a hump in it and draws fuel from over it using a venturi in the pump - you can still be showing 1/4 tank but it can be all in one side - there are 2 senders and it averages the levels of both.

Not hard to change, but getting the back seat out to do it requires some strength.

    Hi Homestar,
I'd just filled up and was just about to enter an 80kph zone when "fuel injectors" came up on dash.
Iid tool said low pressure fuel filter.

I changed the fuel filter on the last service 7000k's ago,so I dont think its that.

There have been times when I've had to start it twice when it hasnt caught from the first cranking.

    cheers

Unlikely to be the in tank pump that caused your immediate fault then, but when one goes, it always pays to do them both - they both tend to pack up around the same time.

Hope yuo get it sorted quickly.

Possible, yes - worth a look, but if it has, it's probably shagged the 2 low pressure pumps anyway - the filter is after them...

Why wouldn't you replace the fuel filter before spending money on anything else?
