Lifting a p38 and larger tyres?

I am new to this forum and was wondering what suspension mods people have done or heard of for RR2's. I will be buying one soon and would like to know if these mods are possible and what people have done so I can gauge weather it is worth it or not?

    Cheers,

    Charlie

Body lift up to 50mm no probs.

33 inch tyres no probs with blift.

    change air bags to coils.

can lift air bags (sapcer under) to give greater ride hight.

Thanks michael, You say that 33 would fit with a 2" lift. Does that mean 33 x 12.5's or 10.5's. And at what stage do you think that re-gearing the diffs would be needed to keep close to the same power to the ground from take off etc. Any ideas on gearing?

    cheers Charlie

Have a read of this approach by Hardy Neale (of Brisbane):

Thanks Ron had not read that. Some other areas of the website talk about cutting guards etc. I hope I dont have to do that to a beautiful motorcar. Ouch!

I wonder if anyone has gone as big as 35's on a P38a? Anyone know?

    Hey Charliebrisbane!

I hear... That you can get a lot of instablility from raising your P38.

What do the guys think about this for a solution?

Airbag Man in Qld has airbags that are 50mm higher than standard, then find someone with Rovacom to recalibrate you EAS height sensors. You'll still be able to get a decent ride height for highway use and go HIGH offroad...

    Cheers,
    Mick.

Mick sounds like what I'm after. I am in Brisbane also, so think I will talk to the guys at Air Bag Man and see what they have done in the past. Cheers. Has anyone raised one and found a good compromise between on round handling and off road height and articulation?
