Whats the mount for that is between the diff and the radius arm? Does that get in the way of a protector?
The rear on the Defender is supposed to be a derivative of the P38a 4.6V8 rear diff. I've noticed that they are also round bottom, whereas the current Rover diff is flat bottomed.

pardon my ignorance, BUT WHATS THE RADIUS ARM? I'm learning slowly, but at the moment I like bolting things to it, not worrying about what LR already put there, yes, I know it will be my downfall, like beer and women and motorbikes and etc..

The radius arm is the long cast link that goes from the chassis, back near the driver and passengers seats, forward to the diff. Its held on to the axle by 2 bolts each.

yep, now I see what your on about and I learnt a new tech term to impress me mates.
Have no idea what that mount does but its not a problem for the protector, it cups on to the bottom of the diff and is clamped on by a bolt on top, pic is on my work computer, so no dramas with front protector, but the rear one seems to be the hassle as to sourcing it for this model.

Thats exactly it
The D2 diff fill plug is the same part as the radiator plug. The problem is that being plastic it wears pretty badly. The brass ones are a bit sturdier.
