    Dash replacement

    Another help type question?

I have a 94 diso that has a 93 dash in it. The Air Con has bitten the dust as I have to pull the dash off completely to access anything, I was wondering if any one has ever fitted a newer dash to their disco?

Also does anyone have any idea of the cost of one or would it just be easier to stick with the one that is in it?

I am a Fridgy so working on the A/C isn't a problem (apart from the fact that I hate working on my own stuff)

    Cheers Blythe

if its a pre update Disco (200 Series) its not worth the effort really, as the pre update and Rangies of the same era have the heater and AC hoses coming from the drivers side whereas the update (300 Series) and Rangies with soft dash have the hoses coming from the drivers side.

looked like a bitch of a job!!!

    Thanks LRH
the hoses on mine come out on the pasengers side. If the newer dash has the hoses come out on the drivers side it would be a neater job as the hoses currently go along the fire wall over the engine and then down and through the fire wall into the evaporator. As I have access to all the hoses to custom fit it and cutting gear that doesn't worry me.

I might look further but I guess the only prob with going to the dealer is it will also need the centre console. If I go ahead with it I will take a heap of photos and put them up so people can see for them selves if they are preparded to do the same.

    Thanks for you help guys
