Thanks Pat... I'm chasing a clunk on the 90 at the moment.
So both my Defenders were suffering from the dreaded rear end clunk we are all familiar with, anyway I got sick of it so both got new bits today. The Tdi was first, she hasn't been happy for a while and after tinkering with her nether regions I can see why.Not only was the ball joint cactus but both upper link bush's and the bolts were badly worn, the bolts were coked bottled pretty badly but iron ore dust generally does that, what was that saying, don't ever buy a mechanic's car. When I do this job I do the lot, bush's,bolts and ball joint,it makes a huge difference to the amount of drive line snatch when your Defender has a tight rear end, and if it's seen 150K or more I'd get it done. All I need to do now is find a 100% guaranteed way to stop the T/C's from leaking,T/C imput seal leaks are my pet peeve. Yep, the big 3/4" A frame to chassis clevis bolts take a pounding and flog out and are easily missed.
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Not wrong. When I worked at a Nissan stealer, in parts, I would have the job cards for each car that was in the service dept. If you added up the hours each car needed, and divided by the number of mechs, the discrepancy was quite large. Now, I know that some jobs don't take as long as the book allows, but it was still obvious that some things simply weren't being done. Service departments have budgetary targets to meet.

justinc, are you referring to 2 or 5 in the below image when you say upper A frame bolts?

ADDED - Note - my MY11 90 does not have No2 above, only No5. The arrangement is slightly different, only welded pieces/braces etc. Will take a photo and update soon.
Also, torque (Nm) figures for A frame bolts.
