Upgrading to NNN ecu.....need help with steps

    Hi

Just received my NNN ecu from td5inside however there are no instruction.

From memory I have to do something with injector codes??

    I have a nanocom.....

Would love to install today as there will be a time delay communicating with Jose.

    Cheers

    From the Manual

    HOW TO REPLACE THE ECU
    1) Read the injectors codes directly from the injector or if it is possible from the old ECU by means of
    the READ SETTING function
    2) Verify if the accelerator type is 2 or 3 track
    3) Install the new or used ECU
    4) Read the injectors codes from the ECU by means of the READ SETTING function, modify them, set
the accelerator type and write these new data with WRITE SETTING function.
    5) Perform the SECURITY CODE LEARN to synchronize the alarm with the new ECU

Thanks....a little more involved than I thought. Once kids sport is over I will have a crack.

Oh I meant to say I'm upgrading to a NNN as I have the older ecu.

A bit more specific for nanocom:
    1. connect nanocom to old ECU, go to Settings - Injectors/throttles, read the injector codes and write them down to a piece of paper
    2. swap ECUs, connect nanocom, go to Utility - Learn security code
    3. go to Settings - Injectors/throttles, Write the injector codes one by one and make sure the Accelerator is set to 2 way
    job done

on another note, IMHO considering that NNN ECU is an upgrade for an Eu2 engine is a false ideea, from my point of view a properly remapped(chipped) MSB is not worst than a NNN loaded with an Eu 2 fuel map, maybe even better... NNN was used especially for Eu3 modells so loading it with a Eu2 map is not an upgrade for the engine but a downgrade for the NNN as it has the hardware for the AAT input which becomes unused.... if Offtrack or others will contradict that i'm not gonna argue it's just a point of view and not an issue.

    Thanks for the tips......

The injector codes don't seem to save....car turns over but doesn't fire.

    Any tips

OK, pressed the write setting button....

Runs for a few seconds than shuts down...and changes just the last digit in the code.

Than just turns over and not fire

Sounds like it didn't learn the security code

About the starting issue ... it seems the ECU didnt learn the security code... as about the codes, being black top injector codes it seems that the NNN ECU is having trouble saving them cos it was configured for green top codes albeit it should accept them...it's explained in the nanocom guide... run that "learn security code" on it again and make sure it's confirmed

I have been reading through the nanocom website without much luck.....

Does each injector have three code?.....I can scroll through three....

They are the same on both ECU's...I just had to change the fist set.
