Thread: Td5 Temperature Gauge Oddness

Go to the sensor at the front LH of the engine and pull the plug off and give it a squirt with contact cleaner and ditto the socket.
Mine stayed on 1/3 one day and that fixed it.
However there is a possibility that the sensor is stuffed and you will soon find out.

If you are talking about the standard one, its useless as a high temp warning anyway. I'm hoping you know that by the time it moves into the caution/danger zone it will be too late and damage done.
