    D2 ignition key

Just a quick one, when starting your D2 be carefull not to push the lock button on the key at the same time as the ignition lights come on this causes strange fault light combos to appear and puts the transmision on autos into limp mode. Not sure what it does to manuals. Also wastes a lot of time heading back to the dealer as it does not show up on diagnostics. If it does happen switch off and restart all is then ok

Aaaaahhhhh, is that what causes the auto to go into limp mode.

    Thanks

Yep, that's it. I seemed to press the button on the Key while starting about once every couple of months when I had my DII, generally when I was I was in a hurry.

Just Turn it off, Take key out, Lock and Unlock and everything is reset ready for another go.

Haven't found the same problem in the D3.

    Discomaniac.
