    There must be away

    Hi

I've got the good old HD, ABS and TC lights on. Its been a while since I have had this.

Normally I would got to my mate who worked at a LR workshop and he would clear it using the test book for free.

He has since left and now they want to charge $70. The dealer wants $55. Both are pulling my leg telling me its a 30 minute job when I know its more like 5 minutes.

There must be a way of clearing this ones self????. I've tried disconnecting the battery for 45 minutes, but no good.

    Any tricks out there???

Is this on a P38A RR or a Disco?

You will need a test book, alternatively you can take off the instruments and take out the bulbs. Disconnecting the battery doesn't work, irrespective of the interval.
There might be an independent auto electrician (Bosch Service or similar) who won't charge you that much for the job, but of course you'll feel it in the wallet, though.

    Hope this helps,
    cheers

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

I have found the solution if I am prepared to pay for it

    http://www.rovacomlite.com/

May be worth it if I just purchase the SLABS module. Then I can do my car when ever I like and cheap cashies to other DISCOII owners who don't want to pay the $ to go to the dealer

The Rovacomlite would be a nice addition, but there should be a software/cable option only to use on existing laptops. Should not need its own.

Yes, They do do sell that option. You can purchase the cable for your laptop and then the software modules you want for your self

this is very interesting... we are looking at purchasing something like this to carry with us on trips just in case of electrical gremlins.

759 pound sterling for the Fender version app $1900 plus freight. I think not and they have the cheek to call it affordable.
