    3.9 v8 heater hoses

I’m chasing some info on D1 or RRC heater hose routing.
I have what I think is a bit of a bitsa heater hose setup and it’s been such a long time since I’ve run a heater that I’ve forgotten the layout.
Attached are some pics of what I’ve got
The red hose runs from the water pump to the inlet manifold
    The yellow is blanked off.
Can I run from you the water pump, ie red hose through the heater matrix and then back into the inlet manifold ?
It seems I’ve got the pipes in the top drawing and the manifold in the lower

The hose indicated by red arrows is what you would run the heater off. Hot water comes out the connection facing the guard and cooled water returns to the back of the water pump. The capped fitting with the yellow arrow is just a sign that this timing cover came from a carburettor engine, they have a heater pipe and a water jacket underneath the inlet manifold. Some timing covers had this nipple undrilled, for fitment to some EFI engines.
