    Sorry DW -- I have a 'J'

Won't your local dealer have one you could borrow?

When you get them off I would be replacing them (except for the spare) with normal nuts. They are just a pain in the proverbial.

The other alternative is to get the cold chisel out and whip them off, but then need five new nuts.

    Thanks for looking Tim!
i was at trivett today for the fenders first service, i checked up
on the matter while there. i kept having the same thing said to me.

your should be in your car??? no one has spares, there special order
    from melbourne.

at least its not to expensive to buy, strange thing is that the std
nuts cost more than the key socket 8O

    thanks

P.S. He stuck them in a drawer with a heap of other similar returns.

There's 2 types of locking nuts available on Defenders & Series 1 Discos.

The type that have the 2 pins around the edge of the key are very weak. Get a tight nut & the key will split open at one of the pins.

The other type uses splines to locate the key on the nut. I've yet to see one of that type fail.

i had nothing but dramas with those stupid lock nuts so i ****ed them off & replaced them with standard nuts. i dont think they like "rattle guns" at all. once they (the adaptors for the lock nuts) are bent on the pins they are useless & you are stuffed. good idea to check it after a service just in case
