Hi all,
I have got a quotation on my defender td5's 40000km service, it cost me $900 from Parramatta Land Rover. I am just wondering what will be done for the service? i,e, replace engine oil, filter, gear and T/box oil... and...??

If for whatever reason you do not want to do it yourself, you can get teh prices down by buying all your filters from an aftermarket provider (some have been previously mentioned) and simply drop the filters off when you get the dealer to do the work. That way you will still be paying for labour and sundries, but saving some pennies on the filters.
If worried about warranty, legally LRA must honour irrespective of where you get it serviced during the warranty period.
However, if you have something go bang outside of warranty, I believe any company (LRA included) would look more kindly on your claim if you have a record of having your vehicle serviced by a dealer.
