    Fitting fuel pump

Hi, I have a new fuel pump that I am going to fit as the old one is about stuffed (needs a whack on the tank to start the disco, a good look when up the street!!). Is there anything in particular that I need to be careful of when fitting a new fuel pump, or is it a fairly straight forward job?
    thanks

when you crack the lines at the pump, remember there will/should be
fuel pressure stored in the lines. do it slowly!

and be carefull with the float arm, youve got to turn the unit to get it out.

    cheers phil

Should pull the fuel pump relay while running - reduces fuel pressure!!!

Yeah the pump was that stuffed that there was no pressure at all in the fuel lines, just disconneced them, no fuel spray at all. The thing that I learnt from this experience is to make sure that you have all the bits that you need on hand before you start eg the fuel line olives and nuts as the new fuel pumps don't have them anymore. Apart from that no problems at all. Thanks all for the tips
