    I have a Stromberg Carb 175 cd-2 auto-choke, but converted to
    manual.
    The first question is------ Does the bottom of the carb look like the picture above or does it just have a lump on the bottom.

    If like the picture, all you do is screw the smaller bolt in and out, this raises or lowers the main jet on the needle and adjustes mixture. raises =leaner
    The one with the lump needs the special tools etc.
    AFAIR there are two types of special tool, one has an allen key and one has a reverse screw top ie a blade sticking up which needs a special tool with a head with a groove down the centre. This is the type i have and was for 80-85 AFAIR.
