Currently running these and happy so far. I was impressed how they went in the Vic high country. Very little slip on some of the goat tracks, tho it was dry.

    So far so good.

    Cheers

I have the ATR on my County but I have little experience with them, I've done almost no off-roading since fitting them

Have had a good run with the 245 75 16 on the disco and on the off road caravan.

same set have done a number of Weipa to Cairns trips, a Weipa-Brisbane-Adelaide-Alice-tanami-Gibb river road-darwin-hells gate- borroloola-cairns-weipa trip, very heavily loaded,, with the van in tow. as well as general dirt road smashing around Weipa. they have been up the OTL several times. I have had to repair two punctures.

I am still running these and have bought another set for when these pack it in.... but the new set has been in the shed for about 5 months now.. the old ones wont wear out 8O The two on the van are showing damage from the dirt and rocks,, very pitted
The only critical thing I could sy about them is that there is some sign of side wall damage(bulging on 2 of them),,,but after the bashing they have endured I think they are doing extemely well.

I have found that they seem to perform very well at FR 24psi and rear 34 psi ,,,,very comfortable ride at these pressures and hold on well in the dirt.

Running 265/75/r16 MTRs on the defender. They have seen plenty of mud, lots af gravel and done really well. The thing that surprises me is how good they are on the bitumen, don't seem very noisy, good braking in the wet, even with the boat on the back coming down the Gillies Range.

Is there more than one pattern? Wranglers seem to have been around forever.

Anyway I've just had fitted the kevlar Silent Armour ones. Initial impressions are compared to Grabbers are they ride better, steer just as well, & wet weather grip is better. Easter will test how they go for chipping etc.

They seem quite thick in the sidewalls, and are very square edged. They are marginally wider than the Grabbers. So they'll probably do well in the sand, oncve the sidwalls have loosened up a bit. At the moment they may not bag out enough.

Easter will be the test, with corrugations, high speed dirt, sand etc etc.

    Regards

I have never used them but did some research before i went with the Mickey Thompson Baja MTX's and everyone told me the BFGoodrich A/T tyre craps all over the Wrangler but the Wrangler Muddy craps all over the BFgoodrich. How true this is i dont know but a few different people told me the same thing. I think Camel Landy was one of them, he said most of the guys doing off roading in the UK feel the same way. Matt

I don't think that's a matter for discussion in a public forum Ace.

I had 33 x 12.5 MTR's on my only landy and loved them, compared to what was on there previously.
Road noise was very good (seeing it was on a series 3) but would probably be very noticable on the quieter Disco/RR
Slippery mud the were good, bog holes were bad. They clogged fairly quickly in clay but that happens to any tyre.
Road was great and they pulled up well under brakes.

They are a tough tyre, far tougher the BFG ect...
