Question Turbo Technics S208 VNT for TD5 - replacement wastegate actuator mount bolt

Came through a round about this morning and on the way out noticed a whooshing sound when on boost. Eased off to a safe pull over spot, checked all the intercooler hoses and no visible issues (twice previously I've had one blow off which made much larger air noises), then noticed this on my Turbo Technics S208 VNT for the TD5 supplied by Bell Auto Services:

It's been in place for around 75,000km now and one of the two bolts that secures the waste gate actuator bracket in place on the turbo is missing and the actuator was wobbly. I've tightened the remaining bolt with a 10mm spanner which stiffened it up and drove gently onwards. Will remove it when I have the opportunity to get into the workshop so that I can hopefully match up with a replacement bolt.

Maybe worth anyone else with this turbo to check the security of theirs too.

Any ideas if a thread locker would be beneficial or is the turbo chargers heat too high? Maybe a slightly longer threaded bolt and a spring washer?

I'd say a couple of flanged bolts with the serrated face on the underside of the flange.
Can't recall their official name, but they're like a bolt with a lockwasher built in ... name is something like 'posilock' ... or whatever.

I'd say a spring washer would eventually fatigue with the heat cycles and probably come loose too.
    Arthur.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

    This ^

Spring washers are an abomination, I won't use them if I have a choice.
There's a reason you don't see them used on aeroplanes or race cars.
