Removing the plastic cover on a Disco 1 "A" pillar

I need to run some wiring up the the "A" pillars on the Disco 1 for a CB antenna cable and hands free phone microphone.

What is the trick to removing the plastic fantastic intact....apart from using a pry bar and praying? :roll:

If it is the same as the RR classic, it's simply a matter of popping the weather seal then prying the clips out of the square holes in the pillar. Slide a wide flat bit of steel under the trim and move it side ways until it is next to the clip. Lever the plastic up and the clip should pop out of the hole.

Done it many times on the old RR.

There are 3 clips in there. Just gently pry with a small screwdriver and you will see where the clips hold it in place. Then just pry near the clips and they pop out. They are pretty tough so should not snap. I've taken mine off many times this way without drama.

Hi mate,
it's really no drama, just lift it with a flat blade or similar, just as TuffRR said, and carefully prise out the clips.

Ist gar nicht schwer...

From your question it is not clear whether it's the inner or outer.
The inner is easy & I have done it for the same reasons you wish to, but I have never removed the outer.
