    Discovery Backfires

    95 S1 Discovery V8 backfires and rattle on up hill around 60K at 2000rpm.
    Engine runs ok if I press accel more but after a while it back fires again. Also back fires and hesitate on highway exceeding 80kph.
    Starting engine ideles and normal city drives are OK.
    Does anyone had same problem and fixed?
    Any advise appreciated.
