lt230 is it welded/seized how to test?

lt230 from d1 - how can you test if planet gears are seized/welded to the cross pins

I changed the lt230 in a rangie (running disco auto) but when fitting the prob shafts found i need both front and rear wheels up to be able to spin the drive line and fit all the prop shaft bolts.
Note both the donor vehicle and recipient drove fine. Did have to shift from garage to road the donor with front prop shaft out and had difficulty getting the diff lock in so may have driven 10 m with no shaft and diff lock out at low revs. Hence my worry.

My logic/mechanical knowledge/experience suggests to me me that one wheel up off the ground and vehicle in neutral and hand brake off with diff lock disengaged was all I needed to turn the drive line say for front prop shaft fitting.

If I need both a front and rear wheel off the ground and they turn each other (neutral, handbrake off, centre diff off) then there is an issue with the centre diff?

Before I drive this on road or pull it out to dismantle I need to confirm that my assumption is correct. Ie one wheel up should allow hand turning to that wheel. If not diff is kaput.

Thanks in advance for the community's expert advice
    Keith

    put transfer case is neutral.

As in with centre diff lock open, turning the front prop shaft will either turn the rear prop shaft in the opposite direction OR if the rear is all connected and wheels on the deck it will try and turn the gear set in the transfer case (it has to turn one or the other), with transfer case in neutral it will freely do this.

If both front and rear output flanges are not connected to anything and said front flange is turned and the rear turns in the same direction, the centre diff is still locked.

So cdl in neutral then one front wheel off ground (note no diff locks on axels) then it should turn by self with the diff in axel transferring the turn to the prop shaft and then the side gears in the CDL allowing the CDL to turn with rear wheels on the ground
    Will test this

Atb will still spin either shaft, it doesn't lock, unless you lock it same as any cdl

    Update

Ok so I put lt230 in neutral (out of hi or low) plus unlocked cdl. And auto in neutral but hand brake on.

Rear wheels on ground and prop shafts (both) installed.

Lifted one front wheel and it turned and turned front prop shaft ok.

    So cdl not seized.

i am sure in past I have been able to turn shafts with one wheel up todo prop bolts. Not sure why needed one front and rear this time. Anyway appears that the transfer case is fine.

    thanks for input.
