Which way does a V8 Rover sterter rotate?

Just toying with the idea of an electric lift for my camper.
Looking at the terminals -ie from the back- Which way does the starter rotate?
    Thanks, David

Recalling from long ago the flywheel - looking towards the engine front- rotated clockwise, so therefore the flywheel /engine rotates anticlockwise, so the starter rotates clockwise looking towards the rear??

I am pretty certain the engine (in common with virtually all engines) rotates clockwise looking from the front of the vehicle. This convention was adopted for the convenience of right handed drivers cranking it in the days before electric starters, and I know of no mainstream manufacturer who has gone against this convention! Certainly the engine in my 110, which optionally had the V8, adheres to this convention, and changing this would mean changes to the drive train which I am certain did not exist.
