    Hello all
WHY???? cannot landrover aluminium heads be re-used after thwy have been hot
I KNOW not to re-use them, but why
    What happens to them
I know they go soft? do they get porous??

been a long time since my apprentice working in a engine recon shop ut yes pretty sure it was brinnel we use to test them in 6 places get an average pretty sure it had to be better than 65. Ford SOHC were the most common to fail (probably mainly due to overheating head gaskets) probably threw 50% in the bin.
