where's the best placeto buy winch rope

Ok possibly should have been in the for sale wanted section ?
but where is the best (ie cheapest) place to buy winch rope (I like commercial type outlets normally over 4wd shops)
I’m about to get my new hydraulic winch set up 8) and want to use a rope instead of the std cable
This will be a first for me , I’ve only ever used cables before but looking forward to the rope
    Thanks
    Jase
PS I’m outside Melb so prefer a Melb supplier although freight is ok if the price is right

Sorry to say it but the US.

Straigh over the net. Prob will still be cheaper to your door than anywhere in AUS.

I bulk ship from them 8)

Only have 3/8" rope left, but I'd rather overkill my winch

    Cheers

Amsteel (spelling) from the US is good stuff.... and cheap can be used on low mounts as it can handle the heat....

Mike, what's the weight saving over the stock 5/16" wire used on an XD9000?
