    Nearly there

After several weeks of nail biting I am very close to driving my HS 2.8 Turboed TDI 300 Rangi.
Glen at Brothers Offroad has endured my hovering presence with remarkable patience and good humour, whilst doing a super job of the installation.

Let us all know how it goes 8)
Bloody hell that IC is huge... ! are they 3" pipes/hoses going to and from it ?

John/Bush65 who hangs around Outerlimits Rover board and Pirate has built himself up TGV/300Tdi as well, only he's used a water/air intercooler built by ARE, and I think he's currently putting 'cruser diffs underneath so it hasn't run yet.

I reckon that turbo will give you the ultimate 300Tdi.

so let me get this right, the motor is a standard 300 Tdi but with a TGV turbo and a FB IC?

what gearbox are are you running?

would also be interested to know what PSI you are running through the turbo?

    That's right
    standard ZF auto
Do have boost and exhaust temp gauges but engine has not fired up yet.
It's going to exhaust shop on Mon to have larger dump pipe made up.

TVG Turbo has slightly different oil line connections to the turbo and the exhaust flange is a Vclamp type rather than a bolt up like the TDI, so a little bit of custom work required.

fmic is Chinese copy of a Hybrid 600x300x75 with 3" outlets but the pipes do taper down to fit the turbo. In my personal expearience I haven't found enough difference in performance between this ic and a top quality Aus made intercooler to justify the multi 100 dollar difference in price.

We had considered water cooled ic ( better in low speed high load conditions) but didn't want the added weight and complication.
If needed I will add an alcohol or water spray to the ic.
Also pipe from ic outlet to intake manifold will be lagged

I'm looking forward to getting it on a dyno to see what i've actually got, there will be some tweaking of the injector pump.
