Will you be running them both as refrigerators, or will one be a freezer?
Aaron
I would like to run my 40ltr and 60ltr fridges together in my Discovery. I have a yellow top Optima 34 for my deep cycle battery but I think I may need a third. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

G'day Aaron. I'd like to run the 40ltr as a freezer and 60ltr as fridge.
When i am away i run an 80l Waco as a fridge at -2C and a Primus 40l as a freezer at -15C and for these to run efficiantly I have 2x 125AH deep cel batteries hooked up to 2x 160W solar panels when in camp.
When i am travelling the batteries are charged directly from the alternator and this system has served me well.
I am pretty sure that just one battery wont run 2x fridges for very long especially on cloudy days, Even with 2x 160W solar panels hooked up I have to sometimes Top them up using my genset and battery charger on overcast days otherwise I run the risk of running the batteries down too much and damaging them.

We run two 40 litre Engels, one ancient and one modern. The old one gets used as a freezer (-12) and the new-ish one as a fridge (+3). We have 250Ah of battery and 300W of solar panels. So far, touch wood, we haven't been caught short although it's been a close run thing a few times with battery voltage getting down to just above 11.5V. The BMS isolates the load at 11.5V and we haven't reached load cut off yet.

The 34 is quite a small battery,around 55 AH?
Depends on what you are doing with the fridges, that’s is using them as freezers or fridges?
I recon you will need at least one, maybe two more of the same size batteries,or go to bigger batteries.
We have a very old 15 litre Engle and on fridge it just gets through a 3 day weekend in the D4,with no charging, and using the Traxide system that takes a bit of power from the vehicles main battery as well.If we are away any longer, I take the sons second 120AH battery as back up.
We done a 3 week trip, 40l Engel set as freezer, and put daily stuff in esky and swapped freezer bricks btw fridge and esky. Worked well. Just an option.
I would want a 3rd battery if running 2 fridges, exp if not driving any great distances each day.
