So if I was to put a different, more fuel efficient engine in my Dii, as oposed to the technically flawed inefficient v8 what would it be.
Right now to sell a v8 rover I'll be looking at a 15k loss so there is scope there.

lpg is the cheaper option by far and you still have a v8 and cheap running costs if you do big ks it will pay for its self in no time

FYI if you don't know its basically a hot rod 300 tdi so can be bolted anywhere a 300tdi could fit![]()

the 2.8 factory specs are
Max Power 135 HP @ 3800 RPM
Max torque 277 lbf ft @ 1400 rpm 8)
also these figures can easily be turned up in 10 mins with a spanner (no ecu to upgrade 8) )

he is doing the major nuts & bolts install,
I'm only doing fiddly bits (intercooler, exhaust, throttle cable ect ect) once he's finished (the intercooler is already in and half piped)
he's been to busy wiyth other peoples jobs![]()
stop taking your landrovers there,I want him to do mine first
He's also got my 110 sitting there for over a month, it only needs a few hrs work but he's to busy![]()
take my advise if you need something done as a quick don't use a freind who is a mechanic![]()

2.8 97kw/3800 rpm; 355nm/1600 rpm
4.6 157kw/4750; 358nm/3000 rpm
Can accept your claims for torque but a standad 2.8 has no where near the power of a standard 4.6.
