Thread: More 05 / 06 Defender buying/owning questions

Not sure where you are located. My 2002 110 has a bar fitted behind the rear seats for child seat anchors. It was fabricated and installed by Seatwise in Brisbane. They do a very neat job.

Floyd I'm guessing you don't want to do your own maintenance. I do with my lease. Dealer assured me my 130 did have anchor points for child seats but after picking it up we never found them. I ended up removing one of the seat mount bolts and fitting mine there. I have a steel frame for securing the rear seat to so it was easy for me. Not all of them have the setup I have and those people have had to fit the bar or similar. The inlaws Pajero is the same needs the bar in the back.

I took ownership of a defender 05 model at the beginning of this year, None in my car. The seat belts are mounted to the floor with a support brace under the body. This seperates the the body from the chassis, so im thinking this is steel, could be wrong.....
