    Cruise Control?

My 96 V8i Disco's Cruise Control failed after 7 days from sitting in my garage. The Vacuum hose's seam to be fine now and it has a fuse now without spending allot of money at a repairer is there something that I could fix my self? :?:

    cruise fix

Look at the cruise vacuum unit located behind and under the left headlight. Dissassemble and find the piston which has rubber seals. Oil and reassemble. The seals can dry out stopping the mechanism from responding to vacuum.

Worth a try, worked on my 98 S1.

    8) if you have been in deep water the cruise control pump behind the left headlight, and way down, may have taken in water.
mine has done it a few times now and i have taken it apart and dried it and cleaned the contacts.
but the final cure was to move it up behind the aircleaner box [v8 disco] it hasn't got wet or failed since.
