Yep I will try find some new bolts from a dealer.

Reason I am concerned about the wire is this bit from the Owners Manual:

So from that and a reasonable voltage drop when turing the wheel full lock to back out of the driveway I assumed that there is some electrical magic happening in the lock??. Anyways will hopefully get some time mid week to check it out further.
