My friend, you are making a lot of assumptions.Originally Posted by landy_man

. I start work at aout 8 ish so the sun has been up about 60 minutes or less in this part of the world and somtimes I finish about 6 ish on a good day and the sun is already gone by then. So as I said I'll get the Landy expert to have a squizz at it and do another couple of jobs (timing belt & the nasty paper gasket at the back of the water pump) all at once. This will give me a base line to work from and I'll maintain it from there on myself. I wish I had a big double garage with a beautiful concrete floor, but I dont, I have a Million dollar view of one of the pretiest harbours in Oz in stead

You should update your profile then as it says you live in Tassie and I am pretty sure Sydney Harbour is in SydneyOriginally Posted by Stevo_62

Ofcourse I am only kidding... yes I did make assumptions as to you living arrangements.. but I also work from dark till dark.. but I do have the comfort of a triple garage with concrete floor.. Just thought I would try save you some $$ for the good bits.. not handing em over for undoing a few boltsJust a side note.. If you are getting a mechanic to change your oils, I would be taking my own good quality oil along for them to fill with as more often than not, most mechanics use whatever their sales rep can supply to them at the cheapest price - and they still charge the earth for it..
The most important thing though is to enjoy your Landy![]()

Attached is the harbour view from the end of my bed
Thanks for the advise, I'll certainly supply my own oil. It will hopfully cure the "i can't get it out of reverse" issue I have at the moment.
As for enjoying my Landy, I love it. I have a Red VP Commodore Ute out on the street that I want sold ASAP. I absolutly hate it, the seats don't fit, the carpets don't fit, the instruments don't work etc etc etc. Gimme me new toy any day, I can get 300k out of the same amount of fuel in the Landy as I'd get for 120 round town in the ute. I get the freshly re sprayed tray back tomorrow and then I'll put the canopy back on sometime shortly. In the meantime I have 10 days on the goldcoast defrosting
