Billes are best.
Just thought i'd put my two cents worth in. I have always used a Bilstein damper on my rangies and never had any problems. We also used them on a defender offroad racer which I navigated in for a number of years. Also without any problems.
If anyone wants a cheap RTC damper, I have several here in the bin thta I removed from customers cars. Absolute Crap!! The actual hydraulic damper itself is of poor quality and this is why they don't last. The spring masks the fact that the damper is useless.
I better point out that I live up in the mountains and the roads up here are not kind to steering dampers.
