    Damn Disco door locks

Hi all, just joined the Aust. LR site on the weekend looks great and I hope to bring something to it.

Hope some of you more experinced Disco owners can help!

I have a 99 Disco series 2 (luv it) which recently had the door lock mech. springs break on the on the front left door and rear tail gate ( I belive this is common).

Does anyone have an effective fix ??

Also I would appreciate feed back on fitting a sports exhaust system or extractors ?

    p.s I am located Brisbane.

    Welcome DR.

I have not needed this fix (having said that, a lock or two will now go ratsch) but I have read a few times that someone is supplying these springs. I can't recall if it was in Oz or OS, but Oz sort of rings a bell. No doubt someone here will know. I would be interested also.

Googled for this. There are a few outlets available. Only one takes Fantastic Plastic though.

Thanks Des - Thats the spring !!!!!!.

LR parts on the Sunshine Coast have the lock assembly for $ 80.00 or so each - might be worth the trip.

can't remember, maybe $10-15 each !! but certainly cheaper than replacing the whole lock !!! Give them a call they have a spare parts department.

by the way to get the front door locks out it is a pain !!!
