Six months ago I replaced all of my track rod ends and upgraded both the track and drag link for HD ones. I thought previous owner had neglected changing them for ages as the rubber boots were well perished however I've noticed the new ones after only half a Queensland summer have already started to show signs of cracking and splitting.
I think I found the solution while drooling over Gywn Lewis 4x4 suspension gear. Poly Boots are made of polyurethane and shouldn't deteriorate like rubber.
I'll report back how they go in 6 months time.

I had the same problem with TRE boots for Series vehicles, 3 years in a dark shed and they decomposed.
I found that aftermarket suppliers like RoadSafe have something that will fit and seems to last much better. Also found one from a Tractor supplier (Sparex) that fits, bit tight on the pin end and doesn't come with garter springs but was v. cheap.
Interested to hear how the polyboots perform.
