    air-con compressor td6

    Hi all,
Looks like my air-con compressor is on its last legs.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what brand/where to find a compressor for a TD6.

Am going to ring up the usual SA/QLD/NSW 2nd hand suppliers as to what they have, but that is a risk
as they wouldnt know how long the part lasts.

    All help greatfully received.

First you need to try and identify the make and model number of the compressor. It should have a sticker on it, or some numbers stamped into it.

Are you talking about an L322 with a BMW straight 6 diesel engine?

Yep the bmw one with the straight TD6.

Folks on here have told me to try replacing the FSR before replacing the compressor as that is likely the problem.

I really detest acronyms! Are you referring to the final stage resistor? If so that is in the fan circuit and a lack of airflow should be obvious.

The compressor is the same as used on a P38:

    AC compressor: ERR4375 (Denso 10PA17C with BMW clutch, 4 ribbed poly v-belt)Alternate part numbers: LR029640, Behr/Hella 8FK351110-591, BMW 1385172, BMW 1390589, BMW 64521385172, BMW 64521390589, BMW 64528371021, BMW 64528385912, BMW 64528385913, BMW 64528385914, BMW 64528391135, BMW 64528391693, BMW 64528391694, BMW 64528391695, BMW 8371021, BMW 8385912, BMW 8385913, BMW, 8385914, BMW 8391135, BMW 8391693, BMW 8391694, BMW 8391695
