Starting problems v8
Having trouble starting my disco, 1991 3.5 v8 manual.
It seems to want to start but them stops straight away, you can try and start it several times then it will fire and run fine.
Could this be the fuel pump, is there any sensors that connect to the fuel pump that could be stopping the pump.

I'm not sure about the sensors, but in mine you can hear the pump running. As soon the pump stops it starts easily, but if I am in a hurry and don't wait for it to stop it takes a "few" turns of the motor until it pumps up enough.

Could be
1 faulty/old non return valve in pump allowing fuel to drain back. Go to speciilaist to test fuel pressure drop with gauge.
2 faulty non return valve in fuel pressure regulator ditto. and ditto
3 faulty fuel pump relay. Does it buzz and click fror 10 seconds when you turn the ignition on?
4 worn out injectors dropping fuel out of rail. remove for ultrasonic clean and check
5 old faulty MAF sensor . specialist to test
6 old faulty TPS . You can test with multimeter
Any number of other things
I suggest that you get a manual and do a diagnostic on the injection as per the manual. A 3.9 Range Rover is the same.

Also check your plugs for fouling and check the the timing is not out.
