    your snap-on breaker bar is under warranty.......

    when mine started to open up i tried to get warranty on it.....their reply....?
    break it and we will replace it........


    its still going strong till this day.......havent managed to break it yet......
    (even with a six foot extension handle.....)

    Second hand shops often have loose (not as sets) Whitworth spanners and sockets very cheaply. No one want them any more (apart from vehicle restorers like us).

    Yes - as I said way up above, some of my best buys have been from Opp shops on the rural fringe of large cities, for example Healsville in Melbourne.

    I bought a Sidchrome socket set in 1978, still using it today never had any problems. there is lots of good quality tools around today at very good prices. it really comes down to what you are prepared to pay for them.

    I "inherited" a good selection from dad,, and then bought a sidchrome set for my apprenticeship,, though I never broke any, quite a few went missing in action due to my colleages "needs"

    Anything that has an unconditional warranty. I have a mix of Sidchrome, Pro Choice (set for 15 years now and only boxer ratchet showing signs og wear), Metwrench (Spanners and are fantastic) and recently KC Tools socket set taht the sockets will fit most bolt heads inc torx etc. Good set.
