So… the ASHCROFT ATBs are internally the same design principle as an Eaton Trutrac Y/N?

They actually machined the star gears and diff case in the LT95 and fitted oversize bronze bushes , which tightened up the transfer greatly. ( along with I imagine new thrust washers etc.)

I would think that this would be possible with an LT230 , but I don't know if anyone does it these days.

I did the same with my RR classic about 25 years ago using this mob.

The owner Jeff can be a bit difficult to deal with, but he does know his stuff. Very smart man.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Can you budget for an Ashcroft ATB to replace the open diff?

    That fixes all your issues.
Yes, I managed to stretch the budget and purchased the ATB, the fitting kit, an intermediate shaft sleeve and a high output gear. The stuff was purchased on Wednesday afternoon AEST, on Thursday midday- ish it was in the air and on its way to me. Friday evening it was in Melbourne, Saturday morning it cleared customs and I’ll have it on Monday. Absolutely phenomenal serviceD2 Transfer Case tear down - problems found
