Bits in Battery Box info Plz

    G'day All

I need a bit of help plz.

Can anyone tell me what the control module, 2 relays & 3 fuses are for inside the battery box? I've searched the RAVE CD and can find nothing.

Yesterday I started to install my alarm system and in the course of doing so I opened the battery box and to put it quite frankly is was a friggin mess.

At some stage or another it has been flooded and there was mud n crap everywhere. I intend to put a 2nd battery in it shortly so i decided to clean it out, remove the existing battery, do some maintenance and check for holes.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that there are holes everywhere. I understand the its not practicle to have the battery box sealed completely because of the gasses but as soon as you start putting electronic components and relays into it then it needs to be sealed or they need to be moved. One good dunking in a river and you could be Kanga Edward.

I will seal the battery box using plastic sheet and Sicaflex then use a marine thru hull fitting to run a vent somewhere in the process of installing the 2nd battery.

Any help re the electronic module and relays etc would be great.

    Rgards,

Not yet. I will next weekend. Ricks comment makes perfect sense. When I took the panel that the hardware is mounted to off, I thought to myself that it looked aftermarket. One relay would be for the compressor clutch, the other for the fan. What the electronic module is would be anyones guess. Might even be temp control I know it sure is frosty when its running. Its like having a fridge in u r lap
