Thanks, what size are the batteries in the V8 photo. Are they smaller than the NS-70?
I removed the 2 rear fold-down seats yesterday and the space they occupy is perfect for another battery with one of those new battery boxes that give you a readout of the voltage.

Hi maggsie, I’m not sure what you would want the volt meter for but trying to use this or any other basic meter will only be effective at giving you any reliable and useful info, after the battery has been sitting around for a day or two, with no load and no charge being applied to it.

To get any form of accuracy regarding the state of charge of your battery, you will need to spend around $500 on a battery monitoring system like an Xantrex meter.

The cheapos will give you very little useful info, if any at all.

A battery box is a good idea but be careful, those meters are a bit of a con.

    Cheers.

    Point taken!
I also think the Traxide-tronics SC80 will get the nod, it will suit my needs when we eventually buy a T-van and have a dedicated deep cycle in the camper.
    Thanks
