Air line came off on p38 now wont raise!!
Today when we were dropping off the Honda to get serviced I heard a pop and pfft noise form under the hood. I thought ooh **** that didn't sound good. However the car did not lower and as we were in a hurry to get the missus to work thought I'd look at it later. Anyway got home and while it was on the driveway it lowered the front a little. It said it was in highway height when I drove it again a few hours later and would not go up from there when I went out to work. I had looked under the bonnet and didn't find anything obvious wrong with the engine off. Anyway to cut a long story short I looked again just before I got to work and found that the air line coming from the top of the cylindrical tube about 20cm 10cm diameter had poped off. I pushed it back on and air still seemed to leak from it and still no ability for the car to raise itself.
Has anyone come across this before and how the hell am I supposed to get the hose on fully and and get it to seal if this is the only problem with the system. When the air line was off I noticed two rubber seals on the end of the metal fitting, I hope all it needs is some basic work as 100k service is due and Im sure it wont be cheap by itself. Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Charlie
