As much as I like the 3.6, give me the T bird with its original 272 Y block V8 any day.
There is a mob in the UK that supply aftermarket ECU’s for the 2.7 and 3.0TDV6 and the 3.6TDV8 (amongst other turbo diesels including the BMW 3.0 in-line 6).
This is probably the coolest retrofit done so far - a 1955 Ford Thunderbird re-powered with a 3.6TDV8.

Was thinking it would be great option for an old F-100 being used as a tow rig, or a better option to re-power something like an older Nissan Patrol/Ford Maverick rather than going down the Cummins or Powerstroke crate engine route.
I wonder if the TDV8 would fit the D2 engine bay.
