In what way a decrease in aerodynamics thus using more fuel?

I would have thought it would be a benefit given there is a more direct flow of cold air into the engine. Matt

it uses less fuel, esp when cold and wet.
it is only a very small amount but it does help.
the other big bonus is it makes room for a second battery.

A snorkel is a snorkel , does not matter what brand, as long as it is sealed correctly. A home made job would be just as good though not as attractive. I have had both the Safari (Disco & Fender) Air Flow on the Rangie and both are good. Price would be the main consideration, with Safari being a little overpriced for what is just a piece of moulded plastic.
