Series 3 front propshaft missing part… help identify?

    Hi All,
Series 3 short wheelbase ‘73 (Lightweight).
Question! The end of the female spline section of my front propshaft seems to have spat out the disc-thing/blanking plate that is up ‘in the yoke’ and covers the end of the splines/contains the grease. Has a tiny hole in the middle that grease comes out of when packing the splines…
What is this part? How to fix? I cannot find it listed so far as a part…
    Cheers,
    Dave

I am pretty sure that it is not a 'part', in the sense that it is not intended to be separated from the yoke. I have never had one off, but I think they are like a Welsh plug, and could probably be replaced by one (with a hole drilled). Dislodgement is probably the result of overgreasing.

    Thanks John,
Yes, I suspect so now. A “dome” Welch plug… Now to find my callipers…
Also right, likely blown off by too much grease…
    Cheers!

once you have the size you can get the dome welsh plug from Repco or Bursons.
It is and RBD ? Not an RBC ie repco brass dome versus repco brass cup

Honestly don’t know! It’s gone… 36mm. I’ll get what I can and see if it fits!
