    Aoto gearbox intelock

    Hello all
    I am having trouble with the interlock in the auto box in my 98disco, anybody else have this problem, I am not sure whether its an adjustment problem or the switch faulty
    Problem is , it`s intermittent

    If OP is overseas, some countries have them as a regulation. I'm not sure which countries have it, but US for sure. I think Japan too.

    prevententive maintaince

    I am here in australia
    They all have them, a thing to consder if it won`t start
    I mean starter will not turn
    Get a schematic and look

    Are you talking about the inhibitor switch (XYZ?)

    if you're here in Aus, and your 98 is Aus model... like Slunnie said .. no interlock.

    You say '98 which could be D1, or very rare very early D2.

    If D1, then no XYZ switch like on the D2.
    D2's XYZ switch can have intermittent issues as suggested.

    I assume that your issue is intermittent no crank? ... or is it an intermittent click instead of cranking?

    I reckon a bit more info on what exactly is the problem could be helpful for us.
