Your link tells me I'm not authorised to view that page.

But I don't know anything about them anyway.

    Hi Dobbo
As I live in the country I use a fuel treatment with every fill.I dont trust the fuel quality at all, have had a couple of servo bad batches and a couple of on farm bad batches.
I use Primary Lubricants Gen4 fuel stabaliser(treats both petrol and diesel),but there are plenty of others available. Its cheap insurance, havent had any problems in the last 2 years.

    Hi Dobbo
Yep they all do,there are charts on the label of the stuff I use.I dont use it for the fuel economy, but for the fuel protection.
I use the stuff in my chainsaw and lawnmower fuels also.

the fuel catalyst canisters do the same thing, but you don't have to think about it.
    have a look at http://www.bluemts.com.au/bmfi/performa/default.htm
this is the one i have. then there are the overseas ones;-
    http://www.fitchcatalyst.com.au/ and the fuelstar http://www.aapsa.com.au/fuelstar.htm.
they do work, basically turning minute tin particles into tin oxide which protects you valve guides and seats, and also raisnig your octane by about 5 points, thus either increasing your power or improving economy.
the choice is yours. bmfi is local and 100%australian, local to sydney anyway. they will be at the expo tomorrow

Octane increase does NOT improve economy unless you have knock sensors and auto retard in the ECU. And if you are using an insufficient octane fuel eg Unleaded in a high comp car. Most Rovers in OZ are 8.13 :1 so do not knock on normal unleaded
Gems and Motronic (38A, Disco 11) have this but no other Rover ECUs.
