yes, I can't see any point keeping this stuff secret, I usually share / give away this information with the knowledge that someone might take it and make money from it, at least publishing the details keeps them honest.
I came up with the vented rotor concept for the front on the Iveco Daily 4x4, and at least Vari Australia who manufactures the kit acknowledges my efforts on their website, without so much as saying it was my idea. With that in mind I can probably convince him to make a kit for the Series, if he got lots of enquiries it might help, wink wink . Another brake and steering joint in Brisbane then 'took' it and appear to be getting them made in China.

Still working through rotor / caliper combinations,
The Wilwood calipers need an offset caliper bracket which is going to be expensive as large chunks of 30mm T6 plate for machining are about $200 per wheel before any work is done so Im exploring another possibility.
In a previous post I mentioned a mates Landy from 40 years ago which I thought had "Hilux calipers and holden rotors on it ."
so it seems I got that arse about , It was a Hilux Rotor and Holden HK-HT Caliper. Hilux 12.5mm x 302 sold rotors will mount behind modified Landy Hubs ( Defender /RRC are 12.5 x 290 but offset is too much for a flat caliper bracket) , As for the HK -HT Caliper they used the same Girlock 2 piston calipers on an early Ford Transit so that should persuade engineer as to their suitability. The Caliper in question has a piston area of 2290mm2 , a Defender 4 piston caliper has 2640 mm2 but same pad pressure can be achieved with a 7/8" MC.
Waiting on a set of new Ford M16 calipers from UK (they are still readily available, inexpensive and fit Holden pads) the big question is if they fit behind a standard wheel, if the Hilux rotor is too tight I can skim up to 10mm from the outside diameter, otherwise have a Mercedes rotor with 5mm more offset up my sleeve but its centre hole needs boring out to 100mm.

Ford M16 caliper + 302mm x 12.5 Toyota solid Rotor = close fit but no cigar.
Would need to grind away part of the superfluous metal inside rim . (shaded in red in photo) It would not be visible from outside. I'll keep it up my sleeve as a possibility, 4 pieces on each rim.
SWB / LWB / Riveted / Welded all foul in same place.

Should not affect integrity of rim but I'd rather not ,
A tang on caliper that locates dust seal spring clip fouls.

Next will try Mercedes 290mm x 12mm rotor which will clear but presents a problem with hub clearance. I see Cookey turned down his hubs quite a bit to clear the RX7 calipers. I'd prefer not to do that but better than grinding the inside of wheels. Be good to know any wheel will fit.
Failing that this Caliper type should fit and clear any Series rim with a Defender / RRC solid rotor but will require a more complicated offset caliper bracket.

Mercedes W140 290 x 12 solid rotors arrived, look like they will fit.
The centre has to be bored out to 100mm and new bolt holes machined . There is a protusion on back of rotor that must be removed as it will foul caliper bracket .
Attachment 183871 Attachment 183872 Attachment 183875 Attachment 183874
Adequate caliper clearance around inside of rim , Outer diameter of Hub flange will need machining to clear outside of caliper, probably not quite as much as Cookey did to suit RX7 calipers.
Rear discs will be easy, I'll use the same Falcon rear Rotors and calipers I used on our '49 Fargo . They will mount behind the Landy hub. These would actually fit front too but rotor too thin and caliper piston is too small for a front brake. Piston area on these rear calipers is the correct ratio compared to front so as to not need a proportioning valve.

edit: A bevelled boss came with my Lathe, no idea what its intended purpose was and never used it till now. It fit perfectly into the centre bore bevel of the Mercedes rotor , so was able to machine the unwanted ridge off . That saved a lot of time & trouble making a holder to suit the rotors.

Next step take my Landy off the road for some well earned downtime and see if it will all mount up. Been daily driving it for 5 years since EV Conversion with zero maintenance apart from gearbox oil top ups , as well as brakes the steering is getting sloppy and brake pedal feels like a drum is out of round. Will check Tie rod ends and swivel bushes whilst I'm at it. Prob be a few weeks.
Time to stop the guesswork and get into it.
Now a drum brake is off it looks even more like everything's going to fit.
I'm in 2 minds as to have my caliper brackets cut from 10mm steel plate or DIY machine from a slab of 20mm 6061 alloy plate. The caliper mount lugs will need to be spaced 10mm inboard of the bracket. If I machine it myself I can incorporate spacers into bracket
Not sure of clocking yet, 12.00 gives good access to mounting bolts & swivel oil plug but 10.00 will be better / easier to bleed.
I need to do a few other jobs while Landy off the road so might be a few weeks.

Bad news. Original wheels wont fit .
The calipers foul the swivel housing with the Mercedes rotors, so I tried the Toyota rotors and reduce the diameter about 8mm, I was thinking I could get away with a thicker spacer in place of where the brake drum was , I went up to 8mm thick & wheel still fouls.
Bugger .

Well I haven't cracked the discs behind standard wheel nut.
I've given up and ordered some Wolf rims, not the end of the world I suppose, Theres a Lightweight in UK who fitted Zeus discs and don't look too bad wearing Wolf, but they do stick out past the guards, I'll have to put some of that rubber stuff around the mudguards,
The original rims will however clear the rear discs. For the rear I'm using AU1 Falcon rotors and calipers . So My spare tyre on the bonnet will be an original, it's heavy enough to open as it is. If I get a flat on the front I'll have to put spare on rear and then fit the rear to the front.

Well thats a shame. Lot of work for little reward but at least we know. So I need to get 6 Wolf rims then I can fit discs front and rear[bigsmile1]
Where do the Wolf rims come from and how much?I will let you finish then can you work out a kit I can buy.
I already have two boosters , a VH44 front and rear but even swapping sides so I have two leading shoes the brakes are pretty dismal.
Keep up the good work.

Forgot to ask. Do Disco rims fit as I have a few of those lying around. Or only Wolf?

Hello 123Rover50,
If you go to an internet search engine of your choice and then type in the following keywords a number of options should appear... "Wolf Land Rover rims Australia"
Kind regards
